Insulation & storage – Hockley, Essex
Our solution was to open up the unused space in the pitched roof area
When we first opened up the area we could see that there was no insulation used. So our first job was to insulate both the new floor area & the underside of the roof with ridged insulation
We then covered the floor area with chipboard flooring allowing the client to maximise the new storage space. We also plaster boarded the underside of the roof to prevent any further draughts & installed portable lighting
Next the vertical wall was insulated & tongue & groove cladding installed (with a removable access panel) to finish the project Once we had tidied up & put the bed back into position the additional storage was “invisible” .
